Multiple PANS

Returning home to the 12 hour Grand Prix, was always exciting... the smell of high octane fuel and burnt rubber with all the midway cookeries is unmistakeable and a fond childhood memory. This years event was special in that I enjoyed the company of two great friends and shot and photoshopped some of the best pans of the 200mph plus cars I've had the pleasure of doing.

Grand Prix duece!

There were 2 identical Audis in the race. capturing both together was impossible. This a composite. Using scale transform to complete perspective scale.

Sebring Grand Prix

Had the good fortune of going home to "The Sebring Grand Prix." A 12 hour endurance race famous from the 50's. Hunting & pan Tracking 180mph cars is a challenge and you usually have alot of outtakes, but had some great successes after some PS Topaz and LR. This is an Audi R18 Quatro diesel electric hybrid, a quiet and impressive machine.

Environmental portraits

Environmental portraits are a challenge in many ways. Most important is putting the subject at ease and eliciting a comfortable expression. Background selection of course is paramount, to show their natural surroundings.  Lighting is crucial to give shape and dimension. Posing and props should add to the story of a portrait. Balancing these details and timing of multiple subjects in multiple cities in one day, takes planning, coordination, improvisation and patience....... the stuff photogs thrive on for a shoot to come together successfully.

Polygram Profusion

The color attracted me; but the shapes make the shot. Polygons abound, how many do you count? There's also the sphere, wedge, circle, and elbow.
Hint: there's 22 yellow polygons alone.

Subway

Receding lines like railways or looking up at tall buildings are always a great subject to explore. Add some arches, rhythm and dramatic light, and bam, bam. A neat little abstract! The couples were a bonus for scale.

Alaskan Wild

While editing, ran across this example of the Alaska landscape. The couple just emphasizes the vastness of the wilderness.
